Massage Parlors Raided in Greenbelt

This past Friday, police raided three acupuncture and massage parlors in Greenbelt, Md. that investigators believe were being used as brothels. The parlors had been raided last year but apparently the businesses kept allowing customers to pay for sexual activities.

Occupy D.C. Camp Raided by Police

Several Occupy protesters were arrested on Saturday after a pre-dawn raid on the McPherson Square campsite. Dozens of police in riot gear—on horseback and on foot—swept through the park clearing away tents, makeshift beds, debris and rodents.

D.C. Resident Wins Spot on Pizza Hut Super Bowl Commercial

David Johnson, 31, a switchboard operator for the Department of Defense, entered a Pizza Hut contest that challenged customers to come up with a catchy new jingle. The company flew him to a recording studio in California, after his 30-second tune praising the Hut's delivery time over that of its rivals won him the competition. The ad ran Sunday night in a prime slot just before the Super Bowl began.
