A shooting occurred at Morgan State University yesterday evening. According to Morgan State spokesman,Clint Coleman, one person was shot and is in critical, but stable condition at John Hopkins Hospital. The victim 19-year-old was visiting a family member on campus. According to police the student was inside the university's Student Center when he was shot in the torso, then made it outside where he collapsed.
The campus was on lockdown after the shooting. "Students were notified by text alert and email alert and told to saty away from the area of the shooting," Coleman said.
Darrin Robinson, senior, physical therapy major at Morgan State University said he hasn't seen too big of student reaction from the shooting. "There's been some tweets on twitter but no one is really talking about it on campus," he said. "It's an open campus, so anything can happen on campus." Robinson was on campus during shooting but did not witness it.
The police still do not have a suspect.
Classes resumed on Thursday.
