Howard Workers Receive Long Awaited Raise

Howard University cleaners and trade workers can expect raises from 16.5 to 23 percent as the result of a three-year agreement reached between University officials and a labor union. The retroactive contract is effective until Nov. 3, 2010. A University worker who currently earns $10.

Bree Gant, a sophomore film production major, rejoiced when she saw one of her photographs in the current edition of "The Collegiate Scholar," an online literary magazine published by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS). She said she was surprised and excited to see her first submission published.

Memorial Serves as Final Goodbye to Bonner

About 100 students gathered on the Yard on Tuesday evening to celebrate the life of Aaron Bonner. This comes after a week full of honoring this former Howard student who passed away on July 2 from cancer. Last week, Chad Williams-Bey was among hundreds of Howard University students to drive eight hours to Cincinnati for Bonner's funeral, officially saying goodbye to a dear friend.
