According to data recently released by the Howard University Police Department, campus crime incidents are generally 45 - 49 percent lower per month in 2010 than the number of incidents reported per month in 2009.
Data to the right gives a break down of the number of offenses based on their classification as of Aug. 21. The to bar graphs show the number of offenses per month in 2010 (top) and 2009 (bottom).
Because the data is preliminary initial figures may be reclassified after verification and validation.
