According to DC Police, on Sunday at approximately noon, there was a robbery at the Howard University Starbucks. Witnesses say that the staff was robbed at gunpoint; however, police officials are unable to confirm those reports.
"There was a robbery. Whether there was a weapon involved, I don't know for sure, said Officer Bryson of the DC Police Departments Public Information Office. Officer Bryson was, however, able to confirm that there were no injuries reported with the incident.
Starbucks employs at least 5 Howard University students. Due to the ongoing investigation, employees have declined to comment. DC Police asks anyone who has information that will help with the investigation, to call 1-888-919-Crime.
