Our designer will provide a copy of the design within 4 business days of submission. Approval, which releases liability from The Hilltop, must be received at least 2 business days prior the publication date by noon. Cancellations: The Hilltop must receive a cancellation notice 3 business days prior to original publication date. Payment: Advanced payment is required unless otherwise agreed upon. In such case, payment must be received within 45 days of receipt of tear sheet and invoice and thereafter is subject to interest charges. The Hilltop does not except cash for any advertisement services rendered. We do, however, accept money orders, checks, with the exception of personal, all major credit cards. For University clients, we also accept intradepartmental charges. There will be a $35.00 fee accessed for returned checks. Publication Day Reservation Deadline Monday Wednesday Tuesday Thursday Wednesday Friday Thursday Monday Friday Tuesday Overdue Accounts: Advertisers who reach a 90 day past due status will not be allowed to advertise with The Hilltop until account balance is paid in full, including any penalty fees. If payment has not been received within 120 days, any collection fees warranted are the responsibility of the advertiser. Liability/Make Goods: The Hilltop takes full responsibility of any errors in advertising made on our behalf. This includes error in a publication date, advertisement size, advertisement details, placement, and quality. In such case, The Hilltop will print a ‘Make-Good’ advertisement in a subsequent issue, at the advertiser’s request. The advertiser will still, however, be responsible for payment of the total advertising cost. Rates: All rates are net/non-commissionable. Print Display advertisement rates are charged per insertion. The Hilltop reserves the right to adjust any polices and advertising rates at any time with notification to advertisers prior to publication of future advertisements. In such event, The Hilltop will notify advertisers, who will have the right to be released from contractual obligations without penalty as the new rates become effective, or continue at the new rates. Advertisement Placement: The Hilltop reserves the right to determine the location of advertisements within the publication. Premium placement will be honored, when possible, and is subject to an additional charge. Artwork: Artwork should be sent to The Hilltop by electronic mail. The Hilltop reserves the right to refuse publication of any advertisement. In general, however, The Hilltop is likely to refuse advertisements that promote illegal behavior, contains slanderous statements, offers goods and services whose purveyor and legitimacy The Hilltop can not verify, offers goods and services judged to be in poor taste; contains graphics or texts judged to be in poor taste; contains factual errors known to The Hilltop or unproven assertions deemed necessary to be verified by The Hilltop prior to publication. All advertising material designed by The Hilltop remains the exclusive property of The Hilltop and may not be reused in any other publication, or for flyers, without the written, prior consent of The Hilltop. The Hilltop reserves the right to insert “Advertisement” on advertisements appearing to be news material.
